Define “Broadcast Journalism” in 1-3 sentences.

Current Events that are newsworthy through the radio, television, or the internet.


List and describe the six criteria of newsworthiness.

1. Significance- Events that impact alot of people

2. Unusualness- Events that are out of the ordinary

3. Prominence- Events about Famous people/celebrities

4. Timeliness- Events that are occurring now

5. Proximity- Events that are close to our lives

6. Human interest- Events that are uplifting, or happy



What are the differences between print journalism and broadcast journalism?
1. Broadcast journalism is much more current.

2. Print journalism lets you choice what you want to read.

3. Print journalism can go much more into detail.


How is the Internet impacting broadcast journalism?
The internet takes the best of print and broadcasting journalism and combines them.
